Let’s Play In Italian”, a mommy and me play group in Italian uses a play group method for children 6months and up in a fun setting to introduce Italian as a second language will celebrate a Grand Opening on January 15th, in a Florham Park business location.

Founding Director Catiana Celentano started the business in November of 2006 and now has locations in Westfield, Hoboken, Springfield and Edison. Celentano’s vision for the business was born of a desire to create the same feeling and atmosphere that you would often find at your Italian grandmothers home.  Celentano has two young children of her own and had often initiated “Let’s play in Italian” sessions in her own home complete with Italian nursery rhymes, games, flash cards, foods and more.

The Florham Park location will be staffed by Celentano and Maria Cuccinello,  mother of three teenage children and a student of the Italian language. The business has begun some local advertising and promotion and is expecting a good enrollment for the Florham Park classes.

“In today’s fast paced and hectic world, it’s more important than ever that we make an effort to retain elements of our Italian heritage and culture” added Celentano. “We think the “Let’s play in Italian” playgroup method will help moms and their children to learn Italian while having fun together.  There is a great deal of Italian-Americans in the Morris County area that want to enrich their children and have them appreciate their beautiful Italian culture and language!"
