SICILY AND ITALIAN OPERA
Again, back by popular demand, an overview of the Sicilian connections to Italian opera by Dr. Sally Jo Weber. She will explore the landscape, inspiration and characters of Italian operas which represent the passion of Sicily. Come and sing along to your favorite choruses from the Sicilian composer Vincenzo Bellini and the country people of Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana. Enjoy performances by our Music Department singers.
